What is Lamaze International?

Lamaze International is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote normal, natural, healthy and fulfilling childbearing experiences for women and their families through education, advocacy and reform.

Lamaze childbirth classes provide women with the knowledge, skills and support they need to give birth with confidence and joy as women have done for centuries.

Lamaze education is a path to finding the deep inner strength that all women have. It encourages them to tap into that strength throughout labor and to give birth confidently.
